Religious Education Programs
First Communion – Contact: Mary Jo Rodrick

A two-year preparation program for students in the Religious Education or Visitation School which can take place anytime during the eight years of Elementary School Education. Students prepare for the sacraments of Reconciliation and First Eucharist with parent participation as a part of the sacrament preparation.
Confirmation – Contact: Toney Renteria or Dick Van Dusen
A two-year Archdiocesan program, September – May, in which teenagers explore their relationship with Christ and His Church in preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation. Meeting dates and times vary.
Preschool Education – Contact: Mary Jo Rodrick
Teaches fundamental faith foundations at the 3-5 year-old levels on Sundays during the 11:00am Mass; classes held October – May.
Elementary Education – Contact: Mary Jo Rodrick
Teaches the fundamentals of the Catholic faith to young people in Grades 1-6 on Sundays at 9:30am, concluding with the 11am Mass; classes held October – May.
Jr. High Education – Contact: Mary Jo Rodrick
Teaches basic Catholic doctrine and practices, giving young people in Grades 7 and 8 the opportunity to grow in their faith through the Word, Worship, and Christian Service; meets Sundays at 9:30am concluding with 11am Mass. Classes held October – May.
Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults –Contact: Msgr. Timothy O’ Connell
(RCIA) A process of faith formation for unbaptized or baptized adults who wish to become Catholic or Catholics who wish to make their Confirmation/First Eucharist. Through classes, Scripture reflection, and individual discussion, we explore Catholic beliefs and prepare for full initiation into the Catholic Church. The classes meet Tuesdays.

Social Service Ministries
Archdiocesan Council of Catholic Women – Contact: Cathy Roze

ACCW seeks to stimulate spiritual and intellectual development among members by providing opportunities for service.
Bereavement Committee – Contact: Candy Blankenship
Oversees the Bereavement chapel & conducts Bereavement Workshops.
Children on the Journey – Contact: Toni Kerker
Outreach to support the hungry children of America by raising money through car washes, bake sales, teas, card sales and other events by the teens of the parish.
Eucharistic Ministers to the Sick – Contact: Mary Junod
Distributes communion on Mondays to those unable to attend Sunday Mass.
Giving Tree – Contact: Toni Kerker
Provides toys, diapers, and grocery scrip during the Christmas holiday season to the St. Margaret Center.
Lunches for the Poor – Contact: Pat Menezes
Prepares sack lunches for distribution to the poor on Tuesday mornings in the Parish Center after morning Mass.
Respect Life Committee – Contacts: Barbara Berg and Tom Ullman
Informs parish about state and federal legislation and Action Alerts that will impact the innocent unborn and our elderly citizens; Collects donations for pregnancy help centers during October.
St. Margaret Center – Contact: Parish Office
Provides donations of canned food and toiletries for the homeless; items collected the last Sunday of every month in the vestibule of the church.
Spirit of Mary Prayer Group – Contact: Beverly Razzeto

Prays the rosary for the special intentions and needs of our parish on Thursdays in the Convent Chapel.

Altar Servers – Contact: Sue Mapes
Assist the priests during Mass; training necessary.
Eucharistic Ministers – Contact: Donna Miller

Eucharistic Ministers are trained individuals who administer Holy Communion at Mass and bring the Holy Eucharist to the sick and elderly in their homes and the hospitals; training necessary.
Greeters – Contact: Parish Office

Greet and welcome people 15 minutes prior to the beginning of Mass.
Lectors – Contact: Bernadette Robert

Lectors are trained individuals who proclaim the Word of God at Mass and read the intercessions; training necessary.
Music
Choir Trio – Contact: Joanne Rachford
Sings at the Saturday 5:00pm Mass
Practice: Wednesdays at 7:30pm
Contemporary Choir Contact: Joanne Rachford
Sings at the Sunday 11:00am Mass
Practices: Thursdays in the Parish Center 7:30pm
Visitation Children’s Choir – Contact: Joanne Rachford
Sings at the 11:00am Family Mass and Christmas. Must be a member of Visitation School; practices are held in the Church after school.
Traditional Choir – Contact: Kathy McGrath
Sings at the 9:30am Sunday Mass
Practice: Thursday in the Parish Center at 7:30pm
Ushers – Contact: Dick Van Dusen

Welcome parishioners and visitors to Visitation as they gather for Mass; direct those who are taking up of the offering, and distribute the parish bulletin.

Assists the pastor in planning the maintenance and upkeep of the parish buildings; advises of capital improvement and budget preparation
Parish Pastoral Council – Contact: Mark & Guylaine Brosmer
Provides advice and assistance to the Pastor for the building of our faith community; meetings at the Pastor’s discretion.
Safeguard the Children Committee – Contact: Dick Van Dusen
Oversees an educational and guidance program for volunteers who minister to our young people in the parish; works in conjunction with the Archdiocese under guidelines mandated by the Cardinal.
Liturgy Committee – Contact: Msgr. Timothy O’ Connell
Develops meaningful liturgy in accord with Church documents.
Art and Environment Committee – Contact: Terry Godat/Gina Bellous
Decorates the Church for seasonal holydays.
Church Angels – Contact: Gloria Pavlich
Cleans and maintains the sanctuary area, vestibule, altar servers’ area, and the light dusting of the body of the Church.
Hospitality – Contact: Kathleen Wheeler
Develops community spirit by sponsoring social events and Sunday Coffee and Doughnuts; assists with projects for pastor and associated committees.
